Allow 2 connections for TS 3

Post by ostkamp »

Hi Jens,

would it be possible to allow 2 Connections per user to the TS 3 server in parallel?

Then I could be listening to the English ".org FlyIn" channel while in parallel talking to some guys in the German channel. The TS 3 client can handle listening to multiple channels at once, of course being muted in all but one selected channel.

The client side is not the problem, the server must be configured to allow it.
Currently:

So you need to adjust server configuration somehow.

I found this hint:

You can set a number greater in:
Permissions > Server Groups > ... your server group... > Client > Modify > i_client_max_clones_uid

Hi, but then you should use two different Niknames. For the future it is important to use your callsign (X-IVAP or SWIFT client) as nickname. This way the channels can be changed automatically when you change the frequency in the simulator. For the second access to Teamspeak this should be different.

Example: My callsign in SWIFT is "FSC131". In Teamspeak I then use the nickname FSC131_Thomas. Everything after the underscore is ignored.

I tried to setup a 2nd favorite with different nickname, but that alone doesn't help.

Looks like this number must be increased to allow more logins.

Hi,

I‘ve tried to do this, but seems to be not possible in the free version of TS3.

Sorry for that.

Cheers,
Jwns
